To say that 2010 was an unbelievably blessed year for us would be quite the understatement.
We were fortunate enough to enjoy continued professional success despite the somewhat bleak economic climate.
We made three trips “home” to Virginia, where we basked in the warm and loving company of my parents, my grandparents, and my brother and his family, and enjoyed several visits from family in India — Vik’s Mom was with us for two weeks, Vik’s aunt and brother were with us for a week, and Vik’s Dadi (paternal grandmother) was with us for a month.
I turned thirty.
Vik became a naturalized citizen of the United States.
As if all of that was not enough to make our proverbial cup overfloweth, we also welcomed our sweet little guy into the world, and with him more love, more laughter, and more warm-you-to-the-core joy than we could ever have dreamt possible.
It is thus with deep gratitude for these many blessings (and the many, many more I am assuredly forgetting to mention), appreciation of our good fortune, and great hope and excitement for all that is yet to come, that we say goodbye to the old year, and hello to the new.
From our family to yours, Happy New Year!
